Affiliate & Review Disclosure

1. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Disclosure

In accordance with FTC regulations (16 CFR Part 255), TruthUpfront Tech discloses that some hyperlinks embedded within our hardware reviews, software comparisons, buying guides, and deals coverage are affiliate links. If you click on an affiliate link and complete a purchase, TruthUpfront may receive a referral commission from the retailer or merchant at no additional cost to you.

2. Hardware Testing Integrity Pledge

Our commercial affiliate relationships have zero bearing on our testing results or editorial recommendations:

• No Pay-for-Score: We never award high benchmark ratings, "Editor's Choice" awards, or inclusion in recommendation roundups based on whether an affiliate program exists or pays higher rates.
• Candid Flaw Reporting: If a laptop exhibits excessive thermal throttling, or a software utility leaks telemetry data, we report those findings prominently, even if it deters sales.
• Fixed Editorial Compensation: Our testing analysts and lab technicians receive fixed compensation. Their pay is not linked to product click-through rates or affiliate commissions.

3. Review Units & Manufacturer Loaners

When technology manufacturers provide hardware review units:

• Units are accepted strictly on temporary loan for laboratory evaluation.
• Units are returned to the manufacturer or archived in our testing facility for long-term regression comparisons.
• Reviewers never retain hardware as personal gifts, and vendors receive zero editorial input over our reviews.
